Are you struggling to work full time, look after young children and keep your home tidy

For many families working full time, looking after their young children and keeping a big house tidy and all the laundry etc done every week is a real struggle.  What about if you are a single parent though?  All day-to-day chores involved in running a home and looking after children as well as working full time is down to only you!  That can get overwhelming, so what can you do to help resolve the situation?  If you are lucky enough to have parents or grandparents living close by and they are willing to help out, maybe that could be an option?  Close friends who have children of the same age might agree to take your children to school or afterwards for a playdate while you get some of your chores completed?  What about the possibility of school clubs, most run breakfast and after school sessions for those parents who are working or can’t pick their children up on time.

Is there an opportunity for you to work less hours, or maybe share your job with another co-worker so you are at home more?  Obviously, that would impact on your finances, but could you claim any benefits if you reduce your hours so that you could work less?  If cutting down your hours at work is not feasible and you don’t have family or friends to help, could you afford to employ a Contract Cleaning Cheltenham company such as biggreencleaning.co.uk/ ?  Even if you only arranged for the cleaners to come in once a week to do a thorough clean up of your home that might lighten the burden enough to make your life just a little easier?

There are tasks around the home like ironing, cleaning the oven, or dusting, that people tend to put off because nobody enjoys doing them!  Even if you just hired the Contract Cleaning Cheltenham company to complete just those chores that you really don’t enjoy and keep putting off, that would help you keep up to date with everything else.  If you are at the stage when your children are old enough to help, then that’s an easy solution.  Make sure they have individual tasks to complete that are suitable for their ages and abilities.  They could be responsible for keeping their own rooms tidy, bringing through dirty washing and loading the washing machine?
