Making the most of small garden spaces

Gardening in small spaces can be very rewarding and fun especially if you recently moved into Park Homes for Sale in Gloucestershire like the ones from Park Home Life. There are certain things you can incorporate in your garden to make it seem more spacious and to create an inviting environment. If you’ve always wanted to grow your own vegetables, herbs, or flowers, there are some tried and true ways of making a small garden appear larger.

One great way to garden in small spaces is to add taller plants to your garden. This makes the garden appear larger visually by utilizing the vertical space. Taller plants can provide privacy and shelter to smaller plants and flowers, and they also offer more open space for a windbreak to help reduce air pollution from nearby windows or doors. Adding tall plants, like ferns, to your garden can also help make your patio or veranda look more attractive.

Another way to garden in small spaces is to use containers. With containers, it is possible to grow plants at any height and as close to the ground as possible. Small plants can easily be grown in potting soil, and it’s easier to manipulate soil in a container than it is in a traditional garden. Keep in mind that you should provide good drainage in order for your plants to survive when placed in a container, especially if you’re growing food plants, like herbs, that need a lot of water. For this reason, it’s best to have your soil tested before planting anything in a container.
